The Foundation will offer three grant cycles in 2026 with equal grant dollars awarded at each of three cycles. Decisions will be made within eight weeks of grant proposal submissions.
Grant Cycle 1
Application due January 19
for decision by February 26
Grant Cycle 2
Application due April 1
for decision by June 3
Grant Cycle 3
Application due August 10
for decision by September 30
Each application will be reviewed to understand:
- Organizational Overview – including core programs and brief history of organizational growth and key milestones.
- The organization’s new normal – how has your operating environment changed over the past year and how has the availability or structure of federal funding affected your financial model
- Challenges and opportunities of the business model – how are resources generated and used to achieve impact, where do you see opportunities or urgency for change, and what success would look like in two years
- Capacity to Act — internal capacity (staff, leadership, partnerships) to undertake this work, capacity or expertise you need, and how will your board and leadership team be involved
Stronger applications are from organizations that:
- Are proactively adapting to shifts in policy, funding, and community needs.
- Seek to build or strengthen sustainable revenue models (earned income, diversified funding, strategic partnerships, mergers, etc.).
- Are open to rethinking traditional service delivery, operations, and organizational structures.
- Integrate equity-centered approaches in mission, operations, and outcomes.
